Today I had the National Honors Society induction ceremony. It was very nice. The senior members of the National Honors Society did some traditional ceremony things like lighting candles and saying what it means to be a member of the Society. Then, each of us, the juniors, were called one by one to walk across the stage and sign the National Honors Society book. We got a certificate and a little card that had the National Honors Society pledge on it. After all 94 students went through the procedure, we said the pledge together as a group. While I have not done any service yet, I have set myself up to be able to do service next year. Also, I achieved by goal of getting into he society. I am very happy and proud.

Also, I got an award for Academic Excellence with Highest Distinction. I am so happy that I got this award because I achieved my goal of having academic excellence. Also, I got an award for being a scholarly athlete. I feel like the scholarly athlete award would make me have the balanced IB learner trait. Ultimately, I achieved my goal of getting better grades than I did last year. At this point I will set the same goal for my senior year. I want to have the best grades I have ever had next year. It will be difficult but if I apply myself I think I can do it.
